Apply for a U.S. Passport at WWML

 

The U.S. Department of State has made it easier than ever to apply for a Passport, Renew a Passport, learn about fees and fill the proper form with their:

Passport Wizard

The Passport Wizard will allow you to fill-in your information into an online form, then print-out your form, and bring it with your other required documents to WWML, where we will then execute the processing of your Passport.

Application Fees are payable to US DEPARTMENT OF STATE by personal or bank checks or money orders ONLY (no cash accepted).

 

Execution Fee is payable to WILLOUGHBY WALLACE MEMORIAL LIBRARY as CASH ONLY. 

 

** Both Application and Execution Fees are due at time of application.

You are able to apply for a U.S. Passport at WWML during our regular Library Hours including some weeknights and Saturdays.   We do ask that you please call us in advance of arriving at the library for an appointment.

FAQs

  • WWML no longer takes Passport photos. We recommend Walgreens.
     
  • Due to new government regulations, passport processing now takes between 8 - 10 weeks.  
     
  • Expidited service for Passport Book available for additional $60 fee.  Passport will be processed within 3-days of the State of CT receiving the application.  **Expidited service not currently available in the State of CT for Passport Card.

WWML offers Notary Public Services. $5 per Notary Service.

 

Get a Library Card

Do you live in Stony Creek? Area residents may obtain a free library card with proof of residence. If you live in another part of Branford, you may get your library card at Blackstone Library. A parent or guardian must sign a child's (under age 18) application. Cards are valid for 3 years. 

Books for Sale

We have several carts of books for sale at WWML-- stop by and pick up a great read at an even better price!

Borrowing Policy

Most books, audiobooks, dvds and CDs are loaned for a period of 28 days. New bestsellers may be loaned for 7 days. Magazines are loaned for 7 days. Most items may be renewed one time, either in person, online or by calling us at (203) 488-8702 if no other patrons are waiting.

Interlibrary Loan

Looking for something we don't own? We can borrow the material from another Connecticut library.  You may request items in person, by phone at (203) 488-8702, or through Connecticut's statewide library catalog, reQuest.
