Artist Statement
With no site of origin in time, a line will endure.
Enigmatically, a line has chosen me for it's driver. I like to drive. I'm agreeable.
It's ostensible purpose for this relationship is for the line to be seen. However,
it shape shifts, has no sense of time and when it stops it's desire becomes
bombastic. Anywhere, anytime, anyplace is agreeable. No geography is even
better, as long as we are continuosly moving and leaving "breadcrumbs" on the
path. I'm the seismagraph, the lie detector, the scribe, the gps, the translator,
the cartologist, the screen, the recorder...
The Artist.

Artist Biography
Creativity is her essence.
Educated as a painter and printmaker in her hometown at the University of Kansas where
she earned her BFA, Kelley moved to New York and continued her education at New York's
School of Visual Arts, Parson's School of Design, and the New York Institute of Technology.
Working in New York's home and apparel fashion design industries broadened the spectrum
of her talents. Her tandem career as artist-designer speaks to the diversity in her artwork.
She has been showing her works of mixed media on paper, paintings, and assemblages in
Fairfield, New Haven & Hartford Counties.
Her design work includes illustrative fashion graphics, surface-textile design, copy writing,
branding, web site development, and packaging. Her works have appeared in full feature
movies, televison shows and ads, catalogue covers, retail storefront windows and music
videos.
Her clients include Disney, the Gap, Aeropostale, Martha Stewart, Hallmark, Carter's, Macy's,
Osh Gosh, Parson's School of Design, and Cotton, Inc.
She currently teaches art at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven and attends drawing
classes at The Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme.

Artist Biography
My work is a celebration of all those who have inspired me. From my earliest days at the Little Red School House in New York City, I was able to embrace my "voice" right away. They understood my talent. The Soyer Brothers made a big impact on my work during the time that I lived in Sunnyside, Long Island.
I first fell in love with the work of Toulouse Lautrec, Renoir, and Degas when I made my weekly visits to the The Museum of Modern Art School In New York City. It was just a storefront when I was budding artist. One can see the likeness of Lautrec's influence on my pastel drawings today.
I continued my studies at the Tyler School of Fine Art at Temple University in Philadelphia. From there I have been a gypsy of sorts. I have taken classes at the Art Student League where I studied painting with Will Barnett and Richard Mayhew. Currently, when I winter in West Palm Beach Florida, I draw at the Armory Art Center. I use it as my studio and enjoy the company of other artists. I liken the art scene in Miami and South Florida to New York City's on a smaller scale.
I now draw from live models at the Old Lyme Art Association weekly. And at the Guilford Art Center, I paint with Dolph LeMoult who is local abstract painter. Loosening up my work is a sheer delight.
