Hunt for butterflies that are hidden throughout the Stony Creek area! Hunt throughout the Creek with a group and a team mission to find as many butterflies in your team color as you can within a time limit. It's a scavenger hunt of butterfly proportions!

BUGS Alive!

Get ready to meet some truly unique creatures from the animal world. So many insects are hard at work everyday dutifully performing every job imaginable. It's about time we recognize their efforts and meet some of these interesting spiders, centipedes, millipedes, scorpions, cockroaches, giant stick insects, and other bugs face to face to find out exactly what it is that they are doing out there!

Grades 3 and up.

My Teacher is an Alien

Description of the Book: Susan Simmons and the rest of the sixth grade return from spring vacation to find that Mrs. Schwartz, their teacher, has disappeared and they have a new teacher, Mr. John Smith.  Mr. Smith, however, is very different, in fact, Susan discovers that he is an alien!  At first, only Peter Thompson, the class brain, believes Susan, and the two set out to do something about Mr. Smith who seems to be plotting to kidnap five students.  It's up to Susan and Peter to save themselves and the rest of their classmates.

Henna Tattoos

Henna body art is made by applying henna paste to the skin.  The paste makes a red-brown stain the outermost layer of the skin.  If you've never had a henna tattoo, here is your chance to try! 

People all over the world and of different religions and ethnicities use henna. Though Mehndi is used in some religious practices and customs it is not sacred or religious in nature. Mehndi can be celebratory but is often used purely for the beautification of one's body. Because of its temporary nature henna is suitable for most age groups.

Orson T. Owl helps young astronomers learn about the sun, the stars, the constellations, and what causes day and night.

Out of This World (grades 3-6) - 3:15PM
Take a trip through the solar system. You'll explore the planets, their moons, comets, robot space probes and the latest findings from NASA. Prepare for close up looks at sunspots, the great red spot of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn and more.

Registration is required and space is limited. Check back soon to register online.
