Executive Board Meeting

January 4, 2005



A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President Peter Brainerd at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2005.

Present: Peter Brainerd, President, Marvin Zimmerman, Vice-President, Gregory Ames, Treasurer, Jake Greenvall, Tax Collector, Sandy Fischer, Dottie Leachman, Ron DeFord, Berclee Cameron, Bob Babcock, Dan Bullard, Michael Infantino, Nina Smith, Clerk

Absent: Stan Fisher

Public: 0

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the December 7, 2004 meeting with the following changes: spelling of Fischer, and under maintenance #8 add the wording after deposit of $500.00. Darryl Petit gave his opinion about the repairs needed on the tough of the Lewis Memorial Fountain.

Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s report was distributed:

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to file the Treasurer’s report for audit.

Tax Collector: No change.

Legal & Zoning: No new requests.

Police & Traffic: No activity.

Maintenance:
1. Summer house scraped and painted, similar to existing appearance. Should a light fixture be installed? Should a wood preservative on unpainted benches and upper poles be done: This to be discussed further, at the next meeting.
2. Andy DaRos suggested waiting until spring to do granite posts at Lewis Memorial Triangle.
3. Ed Massotta will apply for a grant through the Long Island Sound Fund for the benches on the dock. Is there anything else in the way of enhancing the dock that we should request at this time?
4. Should a walkway from Brainerd’s property to the Lewis Memorial Triangle be put in? Should it be left as a grass walkway or some kind of stone put down on a walkway? This section will be surveyed soon by the town, so further discussion will be at the next meeting.
5. Bob Babcock will talk to Tom Covill, concerning the maintenance of the gardens at the Post Office.

Administration: Census was completed and will be mailed.

Old Business: Greg will talk to Stan about filing the grant for the toilets.

New Business: The Budget worksheets were handed out to each member for review, and to be discussed at the February meeting.

Other Business: A sympathy card will be sent to the Bob Lilquist family expressing the Boards sympathy. Mr. Lilquist was a board member of the SCA at one time
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:37 P.M.
