Executive Board Meeting
May 1, 2007

A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Peter Brainerd at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:32 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2007.

Present: Peter Brainerd- President, Marvin Zimmerman- Vice-President, Jake Greenvall- Tax Collector, Dottie Leachman, Dan Bullard, Ron DeFord, Sandy Fischer, Bob Babcock, David Baker, Nina Smith, Clerk.

Absent: Gregory Ames, Stan Fisher

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the April 3, 2007 meeting..

Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s report was distributed:

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to file the Treasurer’s report for audit.

Legal and Zoning: Variance request on 240 Stony Creek Rd., add 6x13 front, no objections.

Police and Traffic: 1. Speeding has become a concern on School Street, Quarry Road, and
Leetes Island Road. Suggest more Police activity in the Stony Creek
area.
2. A suggestion was made to put speed limit signs on Quarry Road.
3. The trucks to and from the Quarry are very heavy. The hours in which they travel going to and from the Quarry is also a concern. Most agree that the rules should be followed according to the terms of the lease.
4. Went to the Police Traffic Committee concerning the high volume of truck parking on Linden Point Rd., was told they would look into it. Zoning enforcement reported in the New Haven Register.
5. Motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to send a letter to Ms. Sevenson concerning the safety issue of the residents on Linden Point Rd .with this truck traffic and parking issue.
6. A sign in front of the Antique Store should read “30 minute Parking”.
7. Motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to request a
Maintenance:
1. Thank you note to Roland Greenvall for installing Seastrand St. Sign.
2. The dumpster was placed at the dock about April 15th.
3. Beach sand has been delivered. .
4. Port o potties ( 2) placed at Bayview Park and (1) at Madiera Park.
5. Mr. Collopy has been contacted to turn on fountains.
6. Sign at the beach (no boats) permanently installed.
7. New landscaper will be doing the parks this year.
8. The Lifeguards will be unable to rake the beach this year.
9. Sachem Road will have 162 ft. of curbing installed.
10. Wall at Madiera Park needs some repair work done.
11. Foliage overhanging the wall on Leetes Island Road needs cutting back.
12. Sidewalk on Leetes Island Road needs repair. Price is $6.00 sq. ft. for concrete.
13. Thank you note to Van Wilgens for their donation of a $40.00 Gift Certificate.
14. Drain under the railroad bridge will be cleaned out.
15. The street sweeper is scheduled to come around within the next week.
16. Repairs to the walls at Madiera Park, the beach, the boat ramp and under the summer house need to be done.

7. Legal Notices are ready to be mailed.
