A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Peter Brainerd at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:39 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
Present: Peter Brainerd- President, Marvin Zimmerman- Vice-President, Gregory Ames-Treasurer, Jake Greenvall- Tax Collector, Dottie Leachman, Dan Bullard, Ron DeFord, Sandy Fischer, Bob Babcock, David Baker, Michael Infantino, Nina Smith- Clerk.

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the April 1, 2008 meeting..

Legal and Zoning: Variance request on 228 Thimble Islands Road, multiple sideline, defer decision until May 20, 2008.
Police and Traffic: 1. Having difficulty installing camera at the dock.
2. The Parking spaces are in question at the dock. Should these spaces be marked out?
3. Who put the sign up at Wallace Road?
Maintenance:
1. Garbage collection will be done as needed.
2. Beach will have a lifeguard on duty from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
3. Sand at the beach has been sanitized.
4. Buoys will go in before Memorial Day.
5. Flagpole will be painted before Memorial Day.
6. Repaving of the road will be started soon.
7. Benches at Madiera Park are painted.
8. Motion was made/ seconded and unanimously approved to pay $700.00 to repair some benches.
9. Motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to reimburse Sandy Fischer for expenses.
10. Three bump outs are planned with the repaving.
11. Need someone to clean for the summer. $10.00 an hour.
12. Motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to buy plants for $200.00. The plants will go on the Lewis Memorial triangle and the Veterans Memorial Park.
13. Lewis Memorial fountain has been pointed up.
14. New picnic tables are needed at Bayview Park.
15. Eight port-a-potties have been installed.

New Business: 1. Nominating Committee has 27 names for the upcoming election.
2. The deadline is May 26 to accept names.
3. 1st Tuesday in June will be the special meeting. June 3, 2008.
4. Special Meeting- Can a letter be submitted to the Association so that the
Association can be prepared with the amount of time needed for all concerns and then plan for a larger size room?
5. Election moderator is Nina Smith.
6. Sale of the Post Office
1. What can we do as a Community about the sale?
2. What is the degree of support to have a Post Office in the Creek?
3. What happens to this property?
4. Where can the Post Office be located?
5. Postal Workers are concerned about the sale of the building and the
closing of this Post Office.
6. Business Restricted district. Marvin Zimmerman read aloud the
definition from the Building and Zoning Manual.
7. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to form a
sub-committee, for the Association to send out letters to all members
informing them of the situation and to ask for volunteers to serve . on this committee. This committee will form objectives and
strategies. This committee will report back to the Association
monthly.
