Minutes of the Stony Creek Association
Executive Board Meeting
October 7, 2008

A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Dan Bullard at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.

Present: Dan Bullard- President, Marvin Zimmerman-Vice-President, Gregory Ames- Treasurer, Jake Greenvall-Tax Collector, Dottie Leachman, Sandy Fischer, Bob Babcock, Stan Fisher, Michael Infantino, David Baker, Ted Ells, Lisa Carlin

Absent: Ron DeFord

Bob Babcock presented a plaque to Peter Brained for his many years of dedication and service to the Stony Creek Associaton.

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the September 2, 2008 meeting.

Resident of 21 Thimble Islands Road addressed the Association giving a brief history of the property on the road. He requested in the future to please call the property owners and discuss what needs to be done to correct a situation. In clearing the debris on his property, he stated that it was put onto the wetlands. He would like to have the property put back to the original status. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to correct the situation and allot 5 hours and a maximum of $500.00 to be spent.

Tax Collector: 90% taxes have been collected.

Legal and Zoning: East Crib variance went through. Extend a deck at 32 Watrous Ave.
At 29 Bowhay Hill to change to a 2 family house and add a second story. This needs a variance-no action. Marvin will write letters to neighbors.

Police and Traffic: Town will install the parking signs after Thimble Islands Road is paved.
Since the camera has been installed, one arrest has been made and one undesirable activity was taken care of. A question was asked about a noise ordinance due to dirt bike racing in a residential area.


Maintenance:
The flag pole on the Memorial Green has been painted.
Foliage over the sidewalks has been cut back.
Light in Bayview Park has been repaired.
Buoys will be pulled out of the water.
Trees at Madeira Park have been planted.
Mike Dougherty has donated a new POW MIA flag for the Memorial Park.
Street signs have been stored for the winter.
Explore a Commission here at Stony Creek for Bayview Park and Madeira Park.
By Memorial Day we will need a new American Flag. It is a special order so suggested to order two flags.
Quarry Paving will be paving the road. Prospect Hill will also be done at this time.

Administration: 1. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to have the snow
removal contract be posted for bids at the Library and at the
Post Office. A telephone call will be made to the two previous contractors.
2. Ron will be asked to send out thank you letters to the companies who own
Port a Potties, the dumpster and also to the residents that complied in
cutting back their hedges.

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:44 P.M.
