Executive Board Meeting
August 5, 2008

A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Dan Bullard at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.

Present: Dan Bullard- President, Jake Greenvall-Tax Collector, Dottie Leachman, Sandy Fischer, Bob Babcock, Stan Fisher, David Baker, Michael Infantino, Ted Ells, Ron DeFord-
Clerk.

Absent: Marvin Zimmerman, Gregory Ames, Lisa Carlin

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the July 8, 2008 meeting with the following corrections: Under Maintenance-Paving to be done after Labor Day on Thimble Islands Road, Under Adminuistration-#2 A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved for President Dan Bullard to ask the RTM to pass an ordinance limiting the use of the boat ramp to 15 minutes, restricting commercial use to Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) except by a special permit. Also, a motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to authorize the Treasurer to pay our youth worker weekly for hours worked and this item should be listed under Maintenance. A motion was also made/seconded and unanimously approved to move up Police & Traffic on the agenda.

Police & Traffic
David Baker presented a map to add and correct the street signage on Leetes Islands Road, starting from Flat Rock Rd Ext. Most of the signage on Indian Pt. Rd. has been corrected. The Commission’s responsibility is to mark properly areas that are public spaces. Chief DeCarlo is working on a bus to shuttle people, installing a camera the week of Aug 12, 2008, and parking tickets. Vandalism has been going on in the Creek. People have been caught. Permit required at Commercial parking area or just a commercial license plate to park? The 30 minutes signs at 4 Indian Point Rd. and at 124 Thimble Islands Rd. should be removed.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to leave up the sign for buses. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to request a Courtesy sign for the boat ramp stating -Please Limit Time to 15 Minutes. Dan will e-mail the Police Chief Dan DeCarlo.
The cross walk sign is missing outside of the WW Library. Michael will replace the sign. There are 28 parking signs not marked as to the limit of parking time. The discussion on commercial parking will be tabled until further notice, all board members are asked to give this matter some thought.

Legal and Zoning: Marvin sent out letters to all the neighbors of 12 Watrous Avenue.

Maintenance:
1. The sign on Thimble Islands Road- Children Of All Ages At Play- needs some maintenance. The grass is overgrown around it. We can clean it up and have it look nice.
2. Letters will go out to the homeowners whose hedges need to be trimmed back.
3. The sign at Madeira Park needs to be corrected. We will request that we need only one beach sign, could they be made smaller and that it be corrected stating No Dogs Allowed On The Beach.
4. Bayview Park will be redone with some new equipment.
5. There is only one tree at Madeira Park. Sandy will look into the price of planting two more trees.

Administration: 1. Post election report and tax report went to the State.

Old Business: Regarding the Sale of the Post Office. The Postal Service has renewed the lease for one year. One other offer has been made on this property.

New Business: With the scheduling of the paving on Thimble Islands Road this year, the Association has decided not to have the Tag Sale.

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 P.M.
