A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President Peter Brainerd at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday , September 2, 2003.

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the July 8, 2003 meeting with the follow corrections. Compact car signs , Long Point to Flying Point , Delete #5 on pg 2 and add the word publicity to Tag Sale release.
Treasurer’s Report: A copy of the Treasurer’s report was distributed:

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to file the Treasurer’s report for audit.

Tax Collector: Good collections.
Legal & Zoning: Marvin will poll board if anything important is coming up.
Police & Traffic: Dan, Sandy, and Janice from Public Works met and discussed street line painting on Indian Point Rd. Lack of “no parking “ signs and lack of curb painting was discussed. The Public questioned markings in the road at the beginning of Thimble Islands Rd. Dan suggested hiring our own super numerary to handle traffic problems in the summer. Jake pointed out that the police are doing a good job ticketing parking violators. Unclear signing has led to problems with ticketing incorrectly. Marvin sent a letter to the Police Commissioner concerning the traffice and parking problem at the southern end of Thimble Islsands Rd.
Maintenance:
1. No sign order for Linden Point Road. Sandy to follow up on this.
2. Final layers of paving will be put on side streets now under construction.
3. Stopped –up storm drains under railroad pass on southern side, at 273 Thimble Islands Road and at Squawbrook Rd..
4. Overgrowth at railroad bridge overpass.
5. Stan to speak to owner at Bowhay Hill concerning overgrowth.
6. Stan called Rec. Dept. about slow-draining fountain, but no change. Stan will
call again.
7. Sandy asked for more sand at the beach. Mulch spread around the rugosa
bushes at the beach.
Administration: Audited Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss sheet are completed and will be copied and placed at the Library.
Old Business: None
New Business: Amtrack put up chains to block off their property and the area has been cleaned up. Peter read a letter from Dep. Div. Engineer of Amtrack re: rock stablilationPeople were encouraged to attend the Pipeline Meeting on Tuesday Aug. 5, 2003.
