A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President Peter Brainerd at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2004.

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the October 5, 2004 meeting with the following corrections: Janice at Public Works, and variance was withdrawn on Sachem Rd.

Legal & Zoning: No new requests.
Letter was submitted to Police and Zoning Commission to be read at the Sept. 14, 2004 meeting concerning 2 Sachem Road.
Police & Traffic: The sign into Stony Creek, Buckle Up sign, should be removed. The crosswalk sign is missing at the fountain. It was suggested that it should be replaced. Stan and Greg met with First Selectman Opie regarding the sidewalk on upper Thimble Islands Rd. Stan will talk to the property owners concerning the sidewalk.
Maintenance:
1. Requested the Rec. Dept. to remove the port-o-poties and to turn off the fountains prior to Halloween.
2. First Selectman Opie will follow up with the request to clean and check leaking fountains at Bayview and Lewis Memorial triangle. Daryl Petit will take a look at Lewis Memorial Fountain.
3. Another request has been made with Public Works to clean out drains before winter.
4. Sand has been requested for the beach.
5. Selectman Opie working on Thimble Islands sidewalk with CL&P.
6. Janice at Public Works is working on the Summer House.
Administration: Ad was placed in the newspapers for bids for snow plowing. Two bids were received, one from Andy DaRos /DaRos Co. Inc. and the second from Jay Brown/Cameron Const. Co.. After reviewing the bids, a motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept DaRos Co. Inc. bid at $45.00 an hour for snow removal and $25.00 an hour for sanding.
Old Business: Stan and Greg met with Fist Selectman Opie on the New Park Toilets. He was very impressed with the total package and favored the smaller plans. The question of taking some of the space from the storage area and increasing the size of the men’s and ladies room is in review. Greg will go over the plans again. Upon approval of the project, someone from the Selectmans office will apply for the Grant.
New Business: Tree lighting will be held on December 5, 2004. Jake will call Phil Brencher about the tree lighting.
Ask to repave Prospect Hill. Ask to continue Monday Public trash pickup. The bottom of the stonewall at the boat ramp, needs to be improved. A float is needed at the wall for boats to tie up to. The conditions at the boat ramp need to be improved. At the Lewis Memoral Traingle the granite posts are damaged. Ask Sandy to get a price replacing the posts and report back to the SCA.
