A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Dan Bullard at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.
Present: Dan Bullard- President, Marvin Zimmerman-Vice-President, Gregory Ames- Treasurer, Jake Greenvall-Tax Collector, Dottie Leachman, Sandy Fischer, Bob Babcock, David Baker, Lisa Carlin, Michael Infantino, Ron DeFord, Ted Ells.

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the November 4, 2008 meeting with the following correction: Under Maintenance: Most Port-a-Potties have been removed.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to discuss the concerns of the Association members who attended this meeting. The concerns related to the paving of Thimble Islands Road and the changes that were made to the bump outs, the reconfiguration of the road and the accessibility of the entrances to the sidewalks. Also noted was the Buena Vista sidewalk, bump out at Three Elms, drain across from the Stony Creek Market, bump outs at Brainerd Hotel and the Library and the changes made in the road at West Point Rd.

Legal and Zoning: No new requests.
Police and Traffic: Michael Carasone and Dan Travasano spoke at the beginning of the meeting about the concerns of the traffic flow, the design of the road, public safety and keeping the police present in patrol cars, motorcycles and on bicycles. Dan sent a list of concerns to the Public Works Dept. from the Association. A meeting will be scheduled with the First Selectman to get a time table so changes that are needed can be made on the road.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to draft a letter of the issues that needed to be addressed on Thimble Islands Rd. and submit it to the office of the First Selectman for his meeting, with copies to the Fire Dept., RTM David Baker, and the Police and Traffic Committee.
Maintenance:
Bayview Park light has been repaired.
Town has reapplied for a Grant for the new toilet.
Administration: 1. Post cards were sent out requesting E-mail addresses to the Association
Members that would like to be on the E-mail address list. About 90 were
returned.
Old Business: 1. If changes are to be made in Stony Creek the Association and its members
need to know what is going on.
2. Every Director needs to vote.
3. Check your E-Mails so that issues can be discussed at the Association
meeting.
New Business: 1. By-Laws may be something to review, dated (1962).
2. 24Hr. Notice of Special Meeting-Posted in a Public Place.
3. Saturday Trim the tree at the Memorial Park at noon.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:50 P.M.
