A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Dan Bullard at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:32 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009.

Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of the June 2, 2009 meeting.
A suggestion was made to review the agenda at the beginning of the meeting. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to elect Marvin Zimmerman as Vice-President.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to send a Thank You note to Gary Page and Brendan Page for building the picnic table for Bayview Park.
The Committees for 2009-2010 were set up. See attachment for SCA Committees for 2009-2010.

17 Howd Avenue, two story front street line set back. No action.
Police and Traffic: Lineage at the dock has been corrected. Some lines have to be redone. Police are doing a good job about parking limit time. The additional parking at the Stony Creek Market seems to be working. Speed seems to be of concern in several areas:
From the Memorial Triangle to the dock
School Street
Halls Point Rd.
Watrous Avenue
Thimble Islands Rd.
The concerns are, because of the increase in speed, some roads are hard to enter. Should some of the roads have a convex mirror installed?
Maintenance: Sandy Fischer went over the duties and contact people for the new committee members.

Pot holes on Buena Vista and Flying Point Rd.
Bridge on Thimble Island Rd. is washing away under the road.
Sidewalk in front of the beach should be removed.
Dead tree overhanging the road on Thimble Islands Rd.
Trees on Leetes Island Rd. need to be looked at.
Some trees should be planted at Madeira Park for the future.
Bids are in for raising the granite at Madeira Park . Dan to clearify the work to be done by the two contractors. Raise and reset the granite.
The youth group at the Church of Christ cleaned the Dock. A motion was made/ seconded and two abstains to donate $100.00 to the Treasury.
The sidewalk in front of a business on Thimble Islands Rd. needs to be addressed. There is a problem with the drainage in front of the building.
A cell tower will be installed at the end of the Fire House.
Administration: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to pay up to $80.00 for the SCA Post Office Box.
A motion was made/seconded and one abstain to approve the quote from Fischer Construction for the contract at Madeira Park, only upon clarification of the bid from DaRos Co.
The Board supports the objectives of the petition of the Ad Hoc Committee to save the Post Office.
