A meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board was called to order by President- Dan Bullard at Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

The Special Meeting was held first. The slate of officers for 2010-2011 was presented by Betsy Wieland. Nominations for the Officers and Members of the Executive Board are:

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the slate and close the nominations.
The nomination meeting was closed at 7:37p.m.
Monthly meeting started.
Minutes: A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes of May 4, 2010.
Police & Traffic
The new owner of the gallery stated that there are fewer parking spaces on the street near the gallery. Could changes be made to accommodate more parking spaces?
Jill Marcus representing the Police Dept. talked about restricted parking in Stony Creek.
There is no parking around the Memorial Park due to visual restrictions. If changes are needed a letter should be sent to the Police Dept.
A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to send a letter to the Police Dept. for changes in parking on the streets.
A consideration is being made for more parking in the Ball Field. We can ask the Rec. Dept. for an attractive sign directing motorist to the parking area.
Question: Where is the preferred parking area for Tour Buses? Tour Buses may park at Exit 56 Truck Stop, West Point or the Fire Dept. Rt. 146 will be paved by the State of Ct.
A resident has asked to use Bayview Park for a party. The decision was made to allow the party, but the park cannot be reserved and they must clean up after themselves.

Legal and Zoning: Reapplication on Prospect Hill. A Committee, will review the application and decide whether the application is the same as the previous one. Legal and Zoning meeting is to be held on June 15th. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to present opposition to the plans if they are not considerably changed.
Michael Welles Conservator for James Weil asked if the Community would be interested in a lease for the Puppet House for the Performing Arts?
Maintenance: It was noted that the sidewalk should not be blocked by any signs or any other objects. Alex Palluzzi has a playscape for Bayview Park. A replacement sign is needed in front of the Post Office. The vending machines in front of the Creekers is a concern. Dan will talk to the owners.
Administration: Setting up for the Election. Bio’s to be sent out.
Old Business: Objections have been made concerning the plant boxes around the Pot-o-Potties.
Thank you note will go out to VanWilgens for the $50.00 gift certificate for plants.
Pam read a letter from Lonnie Reed concerning the cell towers and Bill 5213.
New Business:
Stony Creek Association Election will be held on July 12th, 2010.
Monthly meeting for July will be held on July 13, 2010 at 7:30.
