Legal & Zoning: No new requests for variences. Maintenance: Sandra got the OK on three new street signs from Ed Masotta and we will order them and split the cost with the town. She spoke with Alex Paluzzi—Bayview basketball court was resurfaced with blacktop, sand at beach and ramp will be done, buoys will be installed, he will repair benches in Madeira Park and Sandy will ask him to paint all the benches the forest green color used throughout the town. She will keep on top of the beach maintenance. Mike Infantino will put the dumpster back in at the dock and will keep the dock area clean to boating association gate. Ed plans to pave side streets after completing drainage repairs and said it would not be a problem for the Town to blacktop the sidewalk along Leetes Island Road at that time. John meets with CL&P and the phone company to formalize plan to get rid of power lines along Indian Point Road. Expect final paving for all aforementioned in the Fall. Sidewalks remaining to be done (172 TIR to School St. plus 273 TIR) will have to wait until July due to lack of Town funds. Sandy will retain Gail Ferris for three hours every other week to maintain our half of the post office plus the dock area to the beach area. Mike McCleary would like new topsoil in the triangle which they plant each season. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved to have someone remove and replace the topsoil at the Lewis Memorial triangle not to exceed $300. John presented a plan and a draft of a letter to the Town re portapotties in the Lewis B. Memorial triangle area of the village—temporary for this year and hopefully integrated into an existing building such as the post office in the future. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved endorsing the plan and authorizing the letter to be sent to the Town. Stan has not heard from Mr. Arbor regarding building the benches in the Bayview Park gazebo and will look for another quote. Police and Traffic: John sent letter to the Police Commissioners requesting a crosswalk at Thimble Islands Road and south side of Sachem Road and approval for the installation of road-center safety bollards at each end of the village. Administration: A Nominating Committee was formed – Sandy Fischer, Dottie Leachman, Ron DeFord, Nina Smith. Old Business: New public dock construction is making progress with an expected completion date prior to Memorial Day. New Business: A resident requested the Selectman replace the sign with the dos and don'ts of the dock area. John will follow up. The Church of Christ sent a letter regarding a Tag & Craft Sale on May 4th and their desire to use Madeira Park. There was no objection on the part of the board. A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 pm. Respectfully submitted, Nina N. Smith Secretary The next meeting of the Stony Creek Association Executive Board will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 7:30 pm at the newly renovated Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library.
