Tax Collector: Liens were placed on two people who have not paid their property taxes.

Legal & Zoning: No new requests for variances.

Maintenance: Dottie and Nina checked for overhanging vegetation and letters will be sent to five families, one of which will be given a deadline for resolving the problem. Thimble Islands Road has been reworked at the curb across from the Stony Creek Market and water now flows into the drain. John reported that he sent Unk a letter bringing him up to date on the status of Indian Pt. Rd. underground wiring project. In it he outlined all that has been completed and the next steps needing to be taken which would be handled by the Town. A schematic drawing of the project was enclosed. Steve Dudley will take care of painting a center line and, hopefully, side lines on the newly paved area of Leetes Island Road. Things needing to be done around the Creek are: stripping crosswalks, blacking out parking lines on north side of SC Marine & Tackle, installing a graded patch at the east end of the new Indian Pt. Rd. sidewalk and cutting curbs at crosswalks making them all handicapped accessible. Sandy talked with Bob Ungemack and he said the tree roots at Lewis Memorial Triangle won't interfere with the sidewalk- it was picked with that situation in mind. It was also noted that the triangle looks beautiful. Peter will make a "Please Drive Slowly-- Children at Play" sign to replace the old one that is beyond repair. Sandy reported that she had spoken to Alex regarding unfinished projects.

Police and Traffic: John reported that due to recent new concerns the Police Commission will once again address the issue of busses at their next meeting.

Administration: Nina welcomed Joe Grandel to the board—he is taking the place of Jonathan Waters. Sandy reported that the nominating committee has completed it's work and all but three new nominees' bios have been submitted. We are in receipt of the CIRMA Liability Exposure Summary and the town's Annual Report of Special Tax District (due 7/31/02). The SCA Annual Tag Sale which falls on the first Saturday after Labor Day weekend is set for September 7th. Daphne Balacos will type the minutes for the SCA July thru the September meeting.

Old Business: Dottie will call people who ordered street signs as remind them to pick them up.

New Business: Lynn Dorsey contacted John regarding Outer Island and the Stuart McKinney Land Trust and asked if one of our board members might be interested in serving on their board. They are in the planning process of making the island open to the public in some limited way. Greg Ames will volunteer.

A motion was made/seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 9:13 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Nina N. Smith
