Art Opening Reception: Kelly Clark & Day Moore

Saltwater Dialogue is a show featuring Day Moore and Kelly Clark. Two artists and friends, who are bound by tides and brushstrokes—drawn to the ocean’s vast beauty. While they approach the subject from different perspectives, they share a mutual passion for water in all its forms—fluid, fleeting, and infinite. This shared journey—rooted in reverence and wonder—has long called them to a joint show.  Click here for more about the artists and their work.

Reception: Sunday, June 29 from 4 to 6 pm. No registration necessary; all welcome.

Exhibit available during library hours.

Selected Scenes: some pre-COVID observations

Exhibit April 1- April 25, 2022

My first exposure to life drawing was as an 18-year-old student with the great John Bowman in Sacramento, CA. I later veered into painting in a non-objective, abstract manner for many decades, but came back to the human form as a result of joining a wonderful life drawing group in Branford 10 or 15 years back.

Most of the paintings in this show are the result of observations of people living their lives during the few years before the onset of the COVID pandemic.
